Shabby Chic Chair

Here is a chair that I found in the dumpster. All I did was sand and paint and then put on new foam and upholstery fabric. I love it, and it was free! It will be perfect for Scarlett's room.

Baby Scarlett's burp rags!

So, these are the first things I made for baby Scarlett. Since, then I've gone wild, but I still need to take pictures! Starting from the bottom up, the first is a Hawaiin print and if you look closely I sewed on 2 small flowers. The second is an apples with hearts in the middle print with red ruffle trim, the next is poppies with pink pom-pom trim. Next, jungle print with green mini ric-rac, a purple and pink polka dot print with pom-pom and pink velvet trim (and my mom is going to embroider Scarlett's name on the top), and next is pink flower material with baby blue ric-rac and a cute blue flower sewn on, and finally shabby chic turquois material with hot pink ruffle trim.

Marissa's Rag Quilt

I made this rag quilt for my sister-in-law Marissa. She decorated her baby's rom in jungle animals and these colors, so that's what I chose.

Safari Baby Tag Blanket

Here is my second baby tag blanket. If you can't tell, I love alligators. I decorated my son's room in alligators since I am from Louisiana, and I always watch for them at craft stores! This blanket also went for a Relief Society Auction.

Pink and Brown Polka Dot Burp Rags

These are burp rags I made for a friend at church. I love the material, but that is usually the case! These are so fast and so you get pretty much instant satisfaction, and it is so fun picking out all the embellishments for them, plus they are so practical and absorbant!

Michelle's Rag Quilt

The lighting in the pictures is bad, but the colors are really cute-pink & turquoise mostly. I made this quilt for Michelle Hall's baby. It has little fairies on it. It was and is the only quilt I have done that doesn't use regular squares or strips. I really like the pattern, but it was more work, so I haven't tried it again. I like how the multi-colored part came out as hearts, that was an accident!

Baby Tag Blanket

Here is a picture of my first baby tag blanket. I love the material and colors here. I also made this for a Relief Society Auction.

Angie's Rag Quilt

So, obviously this isn't the best picture, but you can still make out the cute little firetrucks and other automobiles. Angie's little boy Cooper's room is decorated in blue and red with fire trucks.

Jenny's Rag Quilt

This is a strip rag quilt I made for my sister-in-law, Jenny, well, technically I made it for Evey, her little girl! Strip rag quilts are even faster than squares and have a different look! I love the bird material and even bought extra for myself. Now that I'm expectng a little girl too, I am excited to use it on a quilt for my baby Scarlett. I am going to decorate her room with bird stuff.

Madagascar Quilt

This is a baby quilt I made for a friend, Clara Balsmeier. I love the color combination on this quilt. Rag quilts are so quick and forgiving. My sister Anne introduced them to me and taught me how to make them. Thanks! You'll see a lot more of rag quilts where this came from!

Tag Blanket and Toy with Bib

This is a baby lap blanket/tag blanket I made for a relief society auction. I thought it would be fun to try a bib with a pacifier clip and a tag animal too. I was really happy how they came out, although I have to say the tag animal was really tedious!

Jungle Animal Paintings

These are canvas paintings I made for our second bathroom. I got the ideas for animals on the internet, a gift bag, growth chart, and a onsie! They were really fun to paint.
